The ALTA “L” cradles are composed of 2 or 3 m modular sections to make a range of powered platforms from 4 to 12 m in length. Compatible with all types of suspensions such as BMUs ( Viper and Venus), monorails, parapet trolleys, and Davits.

Two tirak™ traction hoists equipped with a service brake, an overload detecting device and a centrifugal brake.
Galvanized steel Ø 8 mm wire ropes, one lifting wire rope and one safety wire rope per suspension point.
Two blocstop™ BSA fall arrest devices fixed on each stirrup engage on the safety wire ropes in the event of a failure on the lifting wire rope. The blocstop™ also ensures the detection of a tilting cradle.
The suspension wire ropes are wound on two powered double reelers with friction clutches.
The electrical control unit (34) controls lifting and lowering and ensures power supply and control of traversing movements when powered monorail trolleys are used.

Standard cradles are installed on BMU models equipped with a hoist and Overspeed safety devices mounted in their turret.
These cradles can be provided in 2 or 3m long, in steel or aluminum. They are outfitted with an anti-collision bar and pneumatic or foam facade protections.
